Having visited India several times in the past I never had a chance to visit this fascinating holy city on the Ganges. I was presented an opportunity this past year when we went for a holiday in India primarily to travel in Rajasthan. I managed to fit in a few days at the end of the trip to go to Varanasi (also known as Benares) and was happy I did.
